A total of 50 to 100 specialists will discuss recent issues of this important topic; one third of the time will be used for discussion. Presentations will be published in the International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents immediately after the Conference.

25th International Congress of Chemotherapy & 17th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

The 25th ICC was held jointly with 17th ECCMID in Munich, Germany. The two Societies (ISC and ESCMID) joined forces to address the issues of global challenges in the disciplines of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.  With over 7,500 participants from 106 different countries, it was the largest meeting in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in European history. 2,915 abstracts were received of which 56% were accepted for poster presentation and 8% were accepted for oral presentation.

CAP III 2007 Conference (Third International Conference on Community Acquired Pneumonia)
ISC-CAP 2007 is part of the Disease Management Series (DMS), a worldwide project supported by the International Society of Chemotherapy, in collaboration with participating affiliated societies. This series includes meetings in which diseases are discussed in depth, combining cutting edge science with practical issues. The sole focus of the ISC-CAP 2007 Conference will be Community Acquired Pneumonia.
The CAP III 2007 Program is articulated around major issues, and will also include a special homage to Dr. Armand Frappier, the world- famous Canadian microbiologist.

Pharmaceutical Innovation: Possibilities and Limits of Personalised Medicine

In the framework of the German EU Council Presidency, the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices will hold this conference in Bonn. It aims to intensify a sustainable network among the participants and develop robust concepts for the future design of pharmaceutical research and production within the EU. To this end, various stakeholders from the fields of pharmaceutical research, production and licensing are to be brought together. The conference will be attended by more than 200 experts, among them representatives of the EU Member States, EU Candidate Countries and the USA. Simultaneous translation for German, English and French will be offered in the plenary sessions. Workshops will take place in English.
